 Jerimiah's Story Jerimiah arrived at Ferret Wise, profoundly deaf and behaviorally challenged after suffering bad handling for five months in a out of state pet store. Jerimiah spent several more months in another rescue but was deemed a liability to re-home through adoption. Ferret Wise agreed to accept Jerimiah and to work with him providing him a safe and secure environment in which we hoped he would experience the comfort and a loving environment. For Jerimiah, Ferret Wise was a forever home, his emotional handicap would not allow him to leave. At Ferret Wise Jerimiah found a place where he did not have to fear, a home where he grew to know and accept his "people" and could frolic as a ferret should. His kibble bowl was always filled, his water fresh and his treats for good behavior plentiful. Jerimiah thrived in his safe home, as others continue to here, at Ferret Wise. Please donate at this time of Thanks Giving to the "Jerimiah's Blessing Fund" at Ferret Wise Shelter to ensure the next kids will have the love, care and home they deserve. Thank you. Ferret Wise is a 501c3 organization. Donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law. Open your heart and home. FerretWise Placement Services Ferret Wise no longer adopts ferrets. We work closely with humane organizations for effective referrals of ferret-friendly families. We also have a referral service to assist ferrets needing new families. Those persons interested in starting a referral procedure with Ferret Wise, whether for placement or for caretaker, are encouraged to email the shelter at : ferretwise@ferretwise.org. Those persons seeking placement for ferrets are required to make a one time donation to Ferret Wise in the amount of $25 to assist with the on-line costs, and time involved of finding the ferrets a forever family. Veterinary records need to be available to the new families at time of transfer. Please understand, we do not sell or condone the shipment of ferrets! Transport of ferrets over state lines will require health certificates before transfer and upon reaching final destination. These expenses must be absorbed by transferring parties.This helps to ensure you get a healthy, playful ball of fur, aka: a ferret, to bring you years of love and joy. Any donations outside of fees are deeply appreciated and welcomed.
